In October 2015, HFC has launched a new project for the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA), researching potential future forms of human-robot interaction in partnership with the Fraunhofer Institute for Production System and Design Technology (IPK).
The project aims at providing an overview of feasible human-robot interaction (HRI) scenarios and debates their effects on various aspects of work, such as robot acceptance, workload, performance, and safety. By polling experts, HFC will determine the necessary technical conditions and capabilities and present a trend forecast. Additional HRI research areas will be outlined and discussed. Project duration time is 14 months.
