…with best wishes from HFC Human-Factors-Consult.
Cordial thanks for the pleasant cooperation during the past years.
Make a robot a colleague
Learn about the human-robot-interaction or other exciting topics from our portfolio. Since October 2016, we are working in two new robotic-projects, in which we observe the human-robot-collaboration from an ethical perspective and also deal with specific implementation for SMEs.
“Roboethics” is a well acknowledged new branch of applied ethics focussing on aspects of accountability in the realm of action theory and philosophy of technology. Of special interest is the attribution of intentional actions as well as ethical and moral values to robots in interaction with humans. HFC is addressing these aspects together with the Institute of Philosophy at the Technical University of Berlin for the German Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA). The project aims at identifying consequences of humans perceiving robots as intentional creatures.
The joint research project “New concepts for the implementation of collaborative assembly systems for small and fluctuating production sizes as well as their successful introduction into SMEs” has started to support producing middle class enterprises in the development of innovative system solutions for human-robot-collaboration in assembly. Prototypes of these solutions will be implemented and validated under economic aspects, the results will be provided to other potential users. This research is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and managed by the Project Management Agency Karlsruhe (PTKA).
