Congresses

Since 2006 HFC has successfully organised the Berliner Fachtagung Fahrermodellierung (Berlin Symposium for Driver Modeling). June 2013 marked the 4th anniversary of this conference, where almost all the German driver modelers met like in previous years. From the very beginning the thematic spectrum has ranged from nonlinear control systems, probabilistic approaches or machine learning techniques right through to psychological models. Other interesting topics of our regular discussions have included approaches to modeling air traffic controllers as well as micro-to macro traffic simulation of transportation system planning, in addition to typical discussions relating to simulation-driven engineering in driver assistance systems or generell vehicle development.

Such an event exists first and foremost by the attendance of authors and conference participants. We thank both parties for their contributions in the past and equally look forward to the upcoming discussions at the fifth edition in 2015, when the small but lovely melting pot of our driver modeling community will come to life again with his energetic discussion rounds
