Berlin Partner für Wirtschaft und Technologie (https://mobilitaet-bb.de/de) invited us to contribute to the latest ERCI Webinar on Human Factors in Rail. Human Factors research and development consultancy in the transportation sector have been our core competences for more than 20 years now, so there were a lot of topics to cover. Hence, Astrid’s talk featured topics like stress reduction, improvement of situational awareness, and accessibility in the domains of aviation, road traffic, and public transport for the main human actors in mobility: the passengers, operators, and controllers.

ERCI is the European Railway Clusters Initiative. It comprises 18 research and innovation-oriented railway technology clusters, covering 17 countries. ERCI represents more than 2,300 SMEs and aims to promote innovation and the development of new business opportunities as a means to sustainably strengthen competitiveness within the European railway industry.
