Our company
Mediator between people and technology
HFC was founded in 2003 as the first institute under private law in the field of human factors. The focus then, as now, was to recognise and solve problems relating to the adaptation of technology to people.
We specialise in the design and configuration of technical systems and software interfaces with regard to usability, product experience, acceptance and safety. This is made possible by our interdisciplinary team, which combines expertise from psychology, engineering and computer science. The basis of our work at HFC is our high level of methodological expertise - not only in the human sciences and the technical field, but especially in interdisciplinary collaboration. This means that a wide variety of issues relating to human-machine interaction can be addressed for all application domains. The spectrum ranges from analysing security vulnerabilities to development services such as GUI design or user guidance through to multi-year research projects in the fields of occupational health and safety or traffic safety.
